What is Kruti Dev?
Kruti Dev is a legacy non-Unicode (ANSI) Hindi typeface layout based on the mechanical typewriter. To write Kruti Dev on your system, you select the Kruti Dev font in programs like MS Word and type English keys.
Because the QWERTY keyboard lacks enough physical key caps to fit all Devanagari consonants, vowels, half-letters, and conjuncts, Kruti Dev relies on Windows Alt codes (using the numeric keypad) to output special glyph symbols.
